One of my favorite things about motherhood is discovering fun projects to do with Blair—and this one was both fun and practical! Blair found a recipe on Tasty for Sleepy Girl Gummies, and we just had to try them. Not only are they a relaxing treat before bed, but they’re also a great way to get in magnesium and tart cherry juice (which naturally contains melatonin). They were so easy to make together, and Blair loved helping out. Here’s how we did it! 💤 Sleepy Girl Gummies Recipe (Makes about 40 gummies) Ingredients: ½ cup coconut water 4 teaspoons magnesium powder 2 cups tart cherry juice ½ cup grass-fed gelatin Preparation: In a medium glass or ceramic bowl, combine the coconut water and magnesium powder. Stir until fully dissolved. Add the cherry juice and mix well. Sprinkle the gelatin evenly over the liquid. Let it bloom for 2–3 minutes until the mixture thickens. Transfer the mixture to a small nonstick saucepan. Cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, for 2–3 minutes until the gelatin is fully dissolved. Do not boil. Remove from heat and let cool for 5 minutes (any foam will settle on its own). Pour the liquid into a silicone mold or a small glass container. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight until firm. Remove gummies from molds or slice into bite-sized pieces. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
